Manage and overcome your stress and depression easily

If you are searching for the tips or methods to control or manage stress and depression, I hope this post will give you the best information .

For this I have gone through several books and websites and also discussed with many people and bringing you the following tips and suggestions:
1. Maintain a positive attitude.
2. Try to practice or learn mind relaxing exercise like : yoga, meditation and tai-chi.
3. Do regular exercises – this is important because stress can be controlled better when body is fit.
4. Eat nutritious, well-balanced healthy food and drink more water.
5. Managing time effectively helps you avoid problems which lead to depression or stress.
6. Never depend on drugs, alcohol, smoking or any compulsive behaviors.
7. Manage your mind-
a) learn to accept that there are some activities that you cant control
b) instead of being aggressive try to be assertive – for example : assert your beliefs, feelings and thinking rather becoming passive or angry
c) most important point : you must set a limit to your work and simply “say no” to the works that would create more stress in your daily life
d) remove negative thoughts in your mind
8. Try to manage your time for your interests and hobbies to get yourself relaxed mentally or physically.
9. Enough sleep and rest is essential as body needs some time to recover.
10. Spend your time with the people and friends whom you love and get social support and avoid associating with negative minded people.
11. Try to strengthen your relationships so that you can share your problems and difficulties with them. Here are some tips how to do this:
a) e-mail or call an old friend
b) help others by volunteering
c) have a coffee or lunch with your co-workers and friends
d) join a club or conduct a meet up
e) Go for a walk with your wife or your girl friend
12. If you find that above tips couldn’t help you better then try to seek a psychologist or health professionals who are trained in the stress management and more importantly discuss with your friends and family members so that they can help you by giving suggestions with their experience of controlling stress.
