Best health tips for computer users and bloggers

This time I have decided to write a post on health tips which is related to people who are constantly engaged with computers and web world. This category includes bloggers, web designers, programmers, software and hardware engineers and many more.

The common health problems faced by the above mentioned people are:

1. back pain, hand pain and neck pain
2. migraine and headache
3. weight gain and obesity
4. mental depression and stress
5. eye related problems
6. smoking and alcohol addiction related problems

Can you guess the simple reason behind all the causes of above mentioned problems? If your answer is no, then the answer is – carelessness on ones own health. It is sad to see people are so busy even to take care of themselves. So all you have to do is follow the simple tips given below which are useful and effective.

Pain problems
These are caused due to sedentary lifestyle and not doing exercises regularly. Things to remember to avoid these problems are:
- take a break between your work if you are working for long hours
- do have a dedication in doing exercises
- don’t sit in a single posture for more than one hour
Further considering special problems:
a) Neck pain:
- before sitting from front of your computer you just rotate your neck clockwise and anti-clockwise and also stretch your neck muscles

- try to maintain good posture by sitting straight
- while sitting if you have to turn your body move it as a whole rather than moving your waist alone.

- if you have to work long time in typing articles or posts then you have to stretch your hands and rotate and relax your wrist and fingers in between your work
- try to use mouse pad with a wrist rest
Headache and migraine
These problems are occurred frequently due to over stress or eye sight. If you are headache is recurring and troubling then consult your physician and get your eye sight checked and remember there may be conditions like migraine so be alert.
Depression and stress
You must have strong positive attitude in battling this problem. Have enough sleep daily and practice meditation and yoga to relax your brain and your as well. - do some eye exercises in between your work, like rolling your eyes clockwise and anticlockwise or blink and open your eyes
- take short breaks between your work to relax your eyes
- as you are going to work more in front of computer screens make sure that vitamin A is supplied well in your diet (for example: carrot is a good source)
- try to use anti-glare glasses as suggested by experts
- preferred distance between computer and your eye is in range of 20-40 inches (50-100 cm)

Weight gain and obesity
- this can be controlled by doing exercises regularly
- avoid taking junk foods
- try to take less carbohydrates if you are obese or over weight
- make sure that your diet contains good fiber content
- if you complain that you have no time to do exercises then try to do exercises in between your working hours (during intervals)

Smoking and alcohol addiction problems
- Due to tensions and stress in managing works most people are addicted to these problems. These addictions must be controlled and stopped as they degrade your health and indirectly effects your efficiency and productivity

    Thank you for these tips. Computers are now a part of our lives. What we do not need is one more thing to cause health declines. Everyone should employ these tips to stay healthy. Computers will otherwise become a rising occupatinal health hazard.
