It’s true that people with oily skin starts experiencing skin aging much later compared to people with normal and dry skin; however, this skin type is associated with a number of skin problems.
First, cut the cucumber into two halves; for this preparation you’ll need only one half of the cucumber. Again cut the halved cucumber into cubes of 2 inches. Using a blender prepare a cucumber puree using those cubes.

Next, using the cheese cloth or cotton fabric strain the cucumber puree into a glass bowl. You will need 2 oz of the cucumber juice to prepare the toner.

Add the witch hazel into the cucumber juice and mix the two ingredients well. Pour this mix into the sterile bottle and close it. Your facial toner for oily skin is now ready to be used. You can use this toner for 3 to 4 weeks if stored in the refrigerator.

While using the toner soak cotton ball into it and pat it gently all over your face. You can also apply the toner onto your face using upward strokes.

Face packs when applied in the right procedure can effectively remove the skin blemishes by opening the pores. In this article we have discussed the procedure of prparing and applying of face pack for removing the skin blemishes.

The ingredients required during the procedure of application of face pack are:

32 oz of tap water or distilled water.

Some large and clean towels or cloths.

2 large pots for storing liquids.

Dried herbs or essential oils that suit your skin type (you can consult a skin care expert to know your skin type and the natural ingredients good for your skin type). If you have pimples, you should use herbs like thyme, oregano and sage along with lemon peel, mugwort, oak bark and sweet fern for reducing the oiliness of the skin. If your skin is pimply and irritated, you should use calendula and chamomile. For pimple prone skin, essential oils like tea tree oil and lavender oil can be used.

Now, let us learn the steps of application of the face pack:

Combine 1 cup dried herbs and 32oz water. Boil the mixture; once boiled, reduce the flame of the oven and simmer the mixture for 1 hour. Now, pour the hot liquid into a heatproof bowl; if required, you can add 2 to 3 drops of essential oils into the liquid.

Now keep the bowl on your bedside table and soak the clean cloth or towel into it. Squeeze out the excess mixture from the towel and apply the hot towel on your face.

As you use one towel for applying the skin pack, soak the other one into the bowl, so that it can soak the mixture properly.

Continue the procedure until the mixture cools down. However, make sure that the duration of the therapy does not exceed twenty minutes.

What is Dead Sea mud? It is basically a sedimentary material obtained from Dead Sea. This mud type is known to contain more than 21 minerals (e.g. magnesium, bromide, potassium, calcium etc), each of which offers outstanding benefits to the skin. A mask prepared from Dead Sea mud can help in tightening up and refreshing the skin by removing the toxins from it. This mask is also an excellent exfoliator and skin cleanser. If you are ready to invest big money for skin treatments, you can get the Dead Sea mud therapy done at a spa; if not, buy a pack of Dead Sea mud from the nearby herbal supply or health food store and prepare a mask on your own. The process of preparing and applying the mask is described below:

Put ½ cup of the mud into the mixing bowl. Now, add 4 drops of lavender oil, 2 drops of sandalwood oil and 2 drops of carrot seed oil to it. Blend these essential oils carefully with the mud; all these oils must incorporate thoroughly into the Dead Sea mud. Once, the mixing is done perfectly, store it in a jar or glass bowl.

Before applying the mask on your face, wash the face using warm water and a mild cleanser. Next, pat the face dry using a clean cloth of towel. Cover the area under your eyes with honey. The skin under the eyes is extremely delicate; applying honey on it will protect it from mud mask.

Now take the mud mixture you just prepared. Apply thin layer of it on the face; during the application procedure your fingers should create outward strokes starting from the face’s center.

Keep the mask for 10-15 minutes and then rinse off the face using warm water.

Prologue

Corns are one of the major skin problems seen by Podiatrists. They are also called helomas and are also associated with callus. These are the thickened regions of the skin that come to formation due to excess of friction and pressure loaded on that region of the body. Hence, corns are mostly seen to affect the fingers, palms, toes and soles of the feet. Since, the skin sniffs and experiences great pressure on these areas, these corns are formed to, basically protect the skin underneath that region from further injury or harm. These structures are seen, on usual and generic basis, to be tough, hard, and circular o elliptical in texture and shape, respectively. They become ulcerated and aching if the friction and pressure on them persists for a still longer time.

The generic behavior

There are types of corns – the hard ones and the soft ones. The most common ones are the hard corns, also named helona durums. The primary reasons for the appearance of these structures in the first place are unfit or ill-fitting of the shoes, deformities of the toes, etc. The favorite places of these corns to develop are the tips and tops of the toes, not to mention the sides of each foot. The softer corns are also referred to as heloma molles, or the kissing corns, as they informally call them. This is because they grow, most often, in between the toes and fingers (thus allowing two toes or fingers to kiss), on finger partitions and on the upper boundaries of the palms (just below the fingers).

Foot corns

The toes curl down due reasons like anemia and other bone- joint problems. This causes the feet to fit poorly into the shoes, and thus aid the rise of hard corns in that region. The toe joints are the most frequent areas of corn development. The hardest corn of the body and the foot is seen to be born along the outer edges of the thumb or the first toe of the foot, the largest one. Soft corns usually choose the intermediacies of the 4th and 5th toes to grow and this condition mostly results from shoe bites. Also, soft or kissing corns are seen in women who make use of high- heeled footwear, where the toe boxes are tapering narrow, leaving no room of air for the smaller toes.

Hand corns

After foot corns, let us make way for the corns that show up in regions of the hands, like the palms, fingers and the wrists. Corns in the hand are also developed due to similar reasons as those of the foot corns, i.e. they grow out of response to immense pressure and friction. Exposure of the hands to rough an tough things and objects, or similar activities, most time of the hands spent in wear and tear and so on are the basic reasons for the growth of corns in hands. For example, excessive use of hands in wood cutting and chopping jobs leads to development of corns and callus in the palms and in between the inner sides of phalanges. Corns can also be raised in these places due to excessive gyming and workouts with machinery. Contact with hard objects for a long time, continuously, also is seen to prove a major cause for the breeding of corns in hands. Corns are also found to develop on the corners of inner wrists. This is due to wearing tight accessories for a long time on the wrists – like wrist watches, bracelets, wristlets, tight wrist rings, bands, and so on. As well as the tight accessory usage, placing the wrist against hard objects, like the table or a keyboard carrier (when working on a computer), for a long time, is also proved to be one major reason for sighting corns on the wrists.

Treatment advice

There is immense need to pay attention towards the growth of these corns and callus so that they are led to treatment. Corns that are not treated eventually become hard as stones and cause pain in the rest of the surrounding areas. Corns are also said to develop from one another, in the environing regions. The treatment involves medications and care. The removal of the pressure and friction, that had caused the initial birth of these corns, plays a real essential role in the exclusion of from the skin surface. If not treated in early sages of development, the corns can achieve such reluctance from the body that they can be taken as foreign materials and respond with abscesses or ulcers. Corns also prove infectious. They can spread from one part of the body to another. People already patients of diabetes, and poor foot care or poor blood circulation and peripheral neuropathy are more prone to get corns, since such patients are most susceptible to almost all kinds of diseases and infections. Moreover, the cures and healings that are experimented to rid these patients of the many problems they face are, most of the times, in vain. Obesity plays a great and vicious role in obstructing the way for treatment of corns, due to the overweight of the person that constantly poses excess pressure on the already corned areas.

So now you know why these corns happen, how they happen, where they occur, what brings growth to them, what are the preventive and treatment measures against them and most of the must information about corns. Those who are already dealing with corns, begin to push them away and out of your life, and those who are under the risk of having these structures to obstruct the appearance and comfort of their living, then remember, prevention is better than cure.

Being fair is a common hang-up among major populaces of Indians. This obsession impels scores of females to flock to stores for procuring skin whitening products.

Fairness advertisements manage to strike a delicate chord on the conviction held across cultures that lighter-skinned people are deemed more beautiful and able to seize better jobs, mint more bucks and are seen as part of an upper class.

Indian males harbour the same thought process and many moms do not wish their daughter or daughter-in-law to have a darkish skin tone.

Similar to self tanning products types thriving in N. America and European regions, skin lighteners hold cultural relevance in Asian countries.

According to the investigative company, Global Industry Analysts, the global market for skin lightening products is forecasted to exceed two billion dollars limit in the Asian Pacific area in the next two years. Mexicans and E. Asians are amongst the highest consumers of skin lightening products.

Aiming to be Fair – At any Costs?

Several skin whiteners obtainable at marts have mercury that does whiten skin, however is unsafe to health.

Absorption of organic mercury present in such cream products causes harm to the CNS (central nervous system) and kidney. It even has the capability of permeating into breast milk and across placental lining which could be potentially harmful to the foetus.

Signs and symptoms of likely trouble brewing are skin irritations, depressive episodes among several others which are widespread among individuals who are unaware that they are ill.

The United Stated FDA has proscribed mercury usage in skin lightener brands in the nineties. Azelaic acid, laser, hydroquinone and re-surfacing procedure is always a safe bet with sunblocks being the best to use.

Specialists additionally suggest steering clear of product types that bear no labelling and ensure that there is no mercury presence in them.

It is understandable that cultural reasons tend to impel individuals of varying cultures to desire to alter their skin color. Several pigment problems like melasma (skin becoming discoloured during gestation) may make individuals keen to opt for changing the color of their skin. However, physicians would possibly recommend not changing one’s innate skin color.

In spite of the plausible risks and reviewing the swiftly proliferating market for skin lighteners, several individuals are either oblivious or prepared to opt for them anyways.

People feel that it is definitely worthwhile whatever risk it is and being light-skinned would elicit higher status and prospects.
