    New research shows that eating a low fat high carbohydrate diet or a high fat low carbohydrate diet can both lead to weight loss. Between the two, dieters are happier when they consume less fat and more carbohydrates. The study, published November 9 in the Archives of Internal Medicine, examined the effect of either a very–low-carbohydrate, high-fat diet to a high-carbohydrate, low-fat diet in 106 study participants. The study showed that after a year, the low fat diet was associated with positive mood changes.
