Researchers have now discovered that eating 40 grams of dark chocolate daily can lower levels of stress hormones in the body. A group of 30 highly stressed study participants were examined using sophisticated testing. The study revealed dark chocolate could have positive long term health benefits that include lower stress hormone levels, making the sweet treat a natural way to ease stress.
Past studies have shown than consuming dark chocolate can lower blood pressure, help prevent skin cancer, and treat pain.
